Artist Notes 5/8/2018: HOLY CRAP YOU GUYS… it’s past midnight.  So happy Tuesday?

I literally restarted this page 3 times. :S As it is, I’m happy with the inks of the characters and the composition, but I acknowledge my painting probably looks a tad rushed… There’s a good chance I’ll go back and tweak the colors and such in the next week–and I’ll definitely let you guys know if I do. In fact, maybe I’ll put some color revision process info under next week’s page, but for the moment the page is here and the story marches on. 

But ugh–I’ve been waiting so long to get this page up!  So many new characters! One of which, Ceras, is the first of four characters you’ll meet that are cameos of our four top Kickstarter backers and/or their characters. My goal for those characters is basically to treat Mag Na Mell like world in Kingdom Hearts in terms of how I adjust their appearances, so Ceras for instance, I’ve adapted into a Satyr since that allows me to preserve the characters human features while fitting in amongst this crowd. But yeah, more cameos coming in time–Cole, I hope you like what I’ve done with Ceras!  And again, thank you so much to all of you who came through for us with the Kickstarter.  You all are wonderful.

Over the next couple weeks I’ll be posting “meet the character” bios and stuff for pretty much everyone on this page.  I’m so excited to further introduce you all to this crowd! Designing them took a ton of drafts, but I saved all of it so I can walk you guys though some of that process as we go too! Sitting on a bunch of new characters is difficult, it’s really tough to be working on something but not want to spoil it, so far that hasn’t been so hard because everyone else we’ve met was at least mostly designed before we started posting MNM so there wasn’t so the desire to want to blab about them was much less. XD

Anyway, next week we’ll have real backgrounds again. ^ ^’ I could keep talking, but it’s honestly waaay past my bedtime and ffs I’m exhausted, -.-‘ plus the longer I sit here writing the longer before you guys see the page. XD
