Artist Notes 7/16/2019: Hey guys, happy Monday! Hope everyone is having a good week! 😀

Finally we get a sense of what the heck Kerr was doing hopping in Ceras’s mouth! XD In case anyone needs a refresher (because Page 159, where it initially happened was back in January) Kerr is a creature called “Joint-Eater,” a type of fairy from Celtic mythology that crawls into the mouth’s of people who fall asleep near open water, then lives in their stomach as a parasite. In the world of Mag Na Mell though, we’ve sort of morphed this into an ability to travel around and habitats in other’s stomachs (and be as parasitic or benign as they choose). They’re masters of sneaks and thieves for obvious reasons, originally I’d wanted them to look a little cuter like a Tonberry, (I’ll weasel in my Final Fantasy references where I can get them!) but he ended up getting his look more from the Rankin Bass take on Gollum. 🙂

Anyway, I hope everyone is okay with my new update schedule, because I have to say putting up the pages in black and white initially has made a huge difference in alleviating my stress. I’m really excited to color all of these on week nights! I’m going to shoot to do a burst of colored pages for the end of this month, but obviously, I’ll keep you all posted.
